German Red Cross Stuttgart optimizes the management of their vehicle fleet vwith an automatic key management system

The control center of the main rescue station of the German Red Cross in Stuttgart receives incoming emergency calls and coordinates the operations of the staff of the Red Cross and the Fire Department around the clock. Preliminary to the employment of the electronic key management system the car keys were issued by the employees of a department, which however was not permanently manned. The German Red Cross has therefore opted for a proxSafe maxx 32 Cabinet with 64 usable slots by deister electronic, including C3 terminal and Commander software. The existing LEGIC access control to identify the employees has been integrated. When returning the vehicle the mileage is automatically scanned and stored. Damage to the vehicle can be reported by using the terminal. The key issue and return is now possible around the clock. It is safe and verifiable by the automatic management and logging at any time. Operation of the proxSafe maxx system is user friendly. The respective key slot lights up and navigates the user to the desired key ring. Administrative effort is minimised, operating costs are reduced and safety increased.
